Account Executive


The Account Executive creates, identifies and closes deals for App Subscriptions and Professional Services. This person must be a self-starting closer who can create a large pipeline of business within a short period of time and work with existing clients as well as new logo opportunities. We look for business athletes who are aggressive team players - hungry, nimble and intelligent - with the ability and willingness to close a mix of complex enterprise and more transactional deals.

About the Position

  1. Create and drive revenue for Surfwriter Apps and Services.
  2. Generate business opportunities through professional networking and cold-calling.
  3. Drive brand awareness, campaigns, and lead generation via networking, associations, etc.
  4. Meet and exceed all quarterly and annual sales quotas.
  5. Own the sales cycle - from lead generation to closure.
  6. Develop strategic industry vertical business plans.
  7. Maintain account and opportunity forecasting within our internal SFA system.
  8. Generate leads from tradeshows and regional networking events.
  9. Ensure 100% customer satisfaction and retention.

Required Skills/Experience:

  1. A proven sales hunter and closer.
  2. 5+ years of outside enterprise software sales experience.
  3. Experience with Salesforce, AppExchange and the Partner Ecosystem a huge plus.
  4. Proven track record of sales excellence.
  5. Experience with business processes such as sales operations, revenue management and compensation.
  6. Be able to work independently & as part of a team in a fast pace, rapid change environment.
  7. Superior professional presence and business acumen.
  8. Strong skills in communication, presenting, writing and ability to work well cross-functionally.
  9. Experience selling at the "C" level.
